Urban Diversions

(OK, this is as political as I'll get here)

Come take a walk with me, through Italian streets - in Rome and Florence, mostly, (maybe a little Sicily too) where the graffiti artists are varied, but also assert their "identities" or signature modes. You'll see what I mean.
This is four years' worth of accumulated photos.
Enjoy!

Don't park scooters here, thanks....And it's also strictly forbidden to throw waste here. Thanks.

Towards the revolution.

I am mine!

Free your mind.

Not graffiti or a mural, but I loved walking into this little dead end, looking up, and OH YEAH.

Pretty sure this is Matteo Salvini - former deputy Prime Minister of Italy until last year. Still a Senator. A bit of a hardliner and a Euro-skeptic.

What are you doing?

Also pretty certain that this is Virginia Raggi - mayor of Rome. Member of the anti-establishment Cinque Stele party.
